Los Gatos Integrated Applied Systems LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides the Water Polo apps and the Water Polo Board hardware. This Privacy Policy covers all of them:

  • Water Polo Camera (iPhone, iPad)
  • Water Polo Referee Companion (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android)
  • Water Polo Log (iPhone, iPad)
  • Water Polo Evaluator (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

Everything below applies to every app. Where one app differs, it is named in section 3.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information, location data, or usage metrics. There are no accounts and nothing to sign in to. All processing of video, audio, game data, and scoring happens entirely on your device. Live scoreboard data is received locally from a companion Water Polo Board over Bluetooth; the Board itself has no internet connection and never sends your data anywhere.

2. Your Content and Exports

Everything you create in an app (recordings, game logs, statistics, game sheets, evaluations, and notes) is stored on your device. It stays there unless you explicitly export or share it. Exports are created locally and handed to the destination you choose through the standard system share mechanisms. We never receive a copy.

3. Device Permissions

Each app requests only the permissions its own features need, and uses them exclusively for local operations:

  • Bluetooth (all apps): Used to find and connect to a companion Water Polo Board and receive live scoreboard timing over a local wireless connection. No tracking or location data is associated with Bluetooth operations, and no data is shared externally. In Water Polo Log this is optional; the app is fully functional without a Board.
  • Water Polo Camera, camera and microphone: Used to capture video and audio when you record a game. The video is processed in real time to draw the scoreboard overlay, and is never sent to external servers.
  • Water Polo Camera and Water Polo Evaluator, photo library: Used to save finished videos to your photo library. The apps add videos; they do not read the rest of your library.
  • Water Polo Referee Companion, audio output: Used to speak timing and score cues through the output you select, such as your phone’s headphones or a Bluetooth headset. The app does not record audio.
  • Water Polo Referee Companion, camera: Used only by course measuring, to run the live augmented-reality view that places measurement marks on the pool deck. The camera image is processed on the device for that display only; nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
  • Water Polo Evaluator, camera and microphone: Used to record evaluation video and its audio, and to capture spoken notes.
  • Water Polo Evaluator, speech recognition: Used only to turn your spoken notes into text alongside the evaluation. We never receive the audio or the text. Depending on your device, language, and settings, the transcription is performed by Apple’s speech recognition, under Apple’s own privacy policy.

4. Network Communications

An app that manages a Water Polo Board performs secure HTTPS requests to a static public file host for a single purpose: to check for and download firmware updates for the Board. These requests send no user identifiers, analytics, or personal data.

Where an app offers a purchase, it is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.

5. Third-Party Services and Platform Analytics

The apps do not integrate with any third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. We do not collect or track user analytics or usage metrics. However, Apple and Google may collect standard, anonymous, opt-in crash logs, diagnostics, and app usage telemetry when an app is downloaded and run through their stores, in accordance with their own privacy policies and your settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

Because our apps do not collect any personal data, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect or solicit personal data from children.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices or app features. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date at the top. You are encouraged to review this policy periodically.
